Product Description
The Pioneer Group lead by Chef Brian Jupiter, one of Chicago’s best, came to us to develop a concept to best compliment the southern, New Orleans style food offerings, all while creating a social environment for a lively drinking scene. The corner general store like bar & restaurant concept developed fit that of a southern charm that isn’t your typical New Orleans themed place, but that of a familiar, local spot where guests can shop the back bar shelving full of chef’s provisions ranging from pickled vegetables to house-made hot sauces. In concepting the environment, it was only fitting that we suggest naming it after Chef Jup’s grandmother, the source of Jup’s vast knowledge of cooking and southern recipes.
Distressed woods, exposed brick, and worn leathers help compliment that of a place that has always existed, complete with a classic “Dixie Beer” painted sign giving guests a rustic yet nostalgic vibe that immediately feels familiar. Take a ride on a vintage coin-operated horse ride for only two quarters! Or head home with a freshly shaved Snowball from the take out window, a native frozen treat of Louisiana. With a name inspired by one’s Grandmother, Ina Mae is as comforting as they come and welcomes you with open arms to eat and drink throughout the day and night.
