St. Clair Supper Club

Product Description
Supper Clubs are a staple of Midwestern fine-dining, historically being a central social establishment for rural dwellers. Even though St. Clair is right in the heart of Chicago, after stepping through the doors, you’ll feel an immediate sense of intimate community. The Alinea Group has crafted a dining experience that is delectable, comfortable and familiar. Our goal was to emanate the coziness of supper clubs of old with a slightly modern aesthetic.
St. Clair is on the lower level of Roister which creates for much more intimate quarters. Upon entering the tufted vinyl leather swing door, you are greeted with a push-letter board describing the specials of the day. Patrons are sat nearer to each other than most restaurants, not uncommon for supper clubs but all a chance to sit in your classic supper club tufted vinyl banquette or booth. Cartoons adorn the walls that were created by a patron of partner Nick Kokonas’s father’s restaurant along with pictures of Chef Achatz from back in the day as an homage to St Clair Michigan where Chef grew up, which was the original inspiration for the name.
