The restaurant features two unique spaces, a welcoming upper-level restaurant upstairs and an intimate library cocktail lounge on the main floor. Both spaces boast a transitional design that blends modern and traditional elements allowing guests to feel right at home.

555 was brought to design and build a new restaurant in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast with an objective to create an upscale yet approachable restaurant and lounge that locals could call their own. It was critical to draw attention from the ground level, with a tricky location on the second floor of a new luxury residential building on State and Walton Street. With a placement in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Chicago, it was important to consider the taste levels of the building residents and Gold Coast clientele when designing the space and menu.
